1. INSTRUCTIONS

This task is to give a presentation of a complete proposal, research data and visual design outcomes upon the completion of the research and data collection in Task 1 and Task 2.

2. WORK PROCESS

Me and my groupmates divided our work into a few parts including a mockup map, infographic and visual result. I did the mockup map for the selected location of field study which is LRT Pasar Seni to Central Market.

2.1 Mockup Map

First, I drew out a simple map digitally by referencing the map from Google Maps. A simple illustrated map highlights the important landmarks without elements that cause confusion to the pedestrians.

Next I added text to label the buildings and important landmarks in Canva.

I then inserted reference photos that were taken during our field study accordingly.

Last is to label the photos with numbers to provide step by step guidance to the pedestrains.

2.2 Infographic

The idea of this infographic is to implement colored pathways on the walkways to guide pedestrians through the cool and heat paths. The estimated time needed is also stated to provide accurate reference.

The mockup map idea is approved by lecturer, we are also suggested to add infographics to clearly show visual design results.

4. REFLECTION

This task is a summary of all the work done in the previous tasks, I learnt to look through everything and review our design outcomes. By visually presenting our design outcomes, it gives a clearer picture to the audience of our idea instead of just on paper assumptions, but I think it is also important to go through creating a proposal and research from Task 1 and Task 2 as they act as supporting data. Everything builds up as a base to complete our final design in Task 3.
